Maundy Thursday saw us share in a simple family meal to remember the Last Supper.
We began, as people arrived, by decorating Easter biscuits. here you can see the one that Sarah made – she has initialled it.
Then we shared in a wonderful meal to which everyone contributed. After the supper was over Julie retold the story of the Last Supper in her own inimitable way, faced with what must have been the largest hot cross bun in creation.
This final photo seems to sum up the graceSpace approach to faith showing as it does a candle and some squirty cream. – food and faith side by side!
Yesterday we gathered for the genteel splendour that is High Tea. With some spending time in conversation and other enjoying popcorn and a movie. it seemed to be an occasion that appealed to all tastes.
Here is the trailer for the movie that we watched. If you enjoyed computer games from the 1980’s then you will enjoy Wreck-it-Ralph.
Thanks to everyone who brought food and joined us for tea.
Last Wednesday we held a very different style of Summit Meeting. We began with two very practical decisions.
1. Programme for Easter
The following events were agreed for Easter.
Maundy Thursday7.00pm Family Meal with Easter ElementsGood Friday8.00pm Good Friday TenebraeEaster Day
Some questions arose as to whether we should have either a Sunrise Service or an Easter Lunch.
Please let me know of your choice.
5.45 Sunrise Service
12.30 Easter Lunch
2. Setting Date for GraceSpace Away Day
It was agreed that the best date for such an event will be Sunday 18th May. Please sign up if you are available.
After this part of the meeting was concluded we spent some time in prayer listening for the voice of God.
It has been decided that we would celebrate Mothering Sunday his year with High Tea and a movie for all the family. So if you would like to bring yourselves and a suitable teamtime contribution, then a great time is in prospect.
