Easter Sunday 2014
Posted by Colin
Another beautiful Easter morning and we gathered for a celebratory lunch. Everyone was able to sit around the table together and as the food was shared and the conversation ebbed and flowed.
Pride of place was given to the Simnel cake with its decoration representing the 11 remaining disciples of Jesus.
Then we repaired to the living room where we shared in a retelling of the story of Easter using the ‘The Eggs of Easter’.
Out of each egg came something that reminded us of a part of the Easter story. Can you identify them?
Finally we went out into the garden for the now traditional Easter egg hunt.
This of course was followed by the even more traditional eating of the chocolate – a rite enjoyed by adults as much as children.
Our thanks to everyone for making this Easter such a special time.
