This week we remember the visit of the wise men to the Christ child. This is usually called the Epiphany (which means something that is being revealed). It is also a time when we consider how Jesus can be revealed through us. This is the focus of our Prayer of the Week.

Lord Jesus Christ today may we see you,
In the faces of strangers,
In the cries of the hungry,
In the anguish of the oppressed.
Lord Jesus Christ today may we follow you,
In acts of compassion,
In sharing of generosity,
In standing for justice.
Lord Jesus Christ today may we tell others,
Through the beauty of love,
Through the celebration of joy,
Through the transforming of life.
Thanks be to God
that through us God’s Son may be revealed.

I pray that as we join in this prayer we will see Jesus revealed amongst us.
